WordPop Kids is a flashcard learning app built for young children. This page explains, in plain language, what information the app touches, what it never asks for, and how the small amount of advertising it shows is kept appropriate for kids.
WordPop Kids helps children learn new words through flashcards, scratch-and-reveal cards, and listen-and-choose games, organized into categories like animals, vehicles, shapes, and colors. The app is designed to work entirely on the device — there is no login, no chat, no user-generated content, and no way for a child to contact anyone through it.
This policy covers the WordPop Kids Android app (package com.ktl.talky) and applies to players of all ages, including children.
WordPop Kids does not ask a child (or a parent) to create an account, sign in, or enter a name, email address, birthdate, photo, or any other personal detail. There are no forms to fill in anywhere in the app.
To make the game work, WordPop Kids keeps a small amount of gameplay information in a local database on the device itself:
None of this leaves the device. It is never uploaded to a server, never linked to an identity, and is not accessible to us as the developer.
The app requests a short, deliberate list of Android permissions:
| Permission | What it's for |
|---|---|
| INTERNET | Loading the advertising shown between levels |
| ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Checking connectivity before requesting an ad |
| VIBRATE | Short haptic feedback on correct answers and rewards |
WordPop Kids does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage access, and does not use the Android advertising ID — that permission is explicitly disabled in the app.
The app shows a small number of ads — a banner, and occasional interstitial or rewarded video ads — served through Google AdMob. These ads are configured to be treated as directed at children: no behavioral or interest-based targeting, and no use of the advertising identifier described above.
Google, as the ad-serving provider, may still process limited technical information (such as IP address and device type) to serve and measure ads, in accordance with its own advertising policies. We do not control or see this data ourselves.
WordPop Kids is built with young children in mind, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from any user, child or adult. The app contains no chat, social features, external links a child could tap into unrelated content, or ways to share data outside the device.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through some means we haven't anticipated, contact us using the details below and we will remove it promptly.
The "Parents" section of the app — where progress and settings can be reviewed — sits behind a simple parental gate (a short task unlikely to be completed by a young child) so that it is a caregiver, not the child, who reaches those screens.
Because all progress is stored locally, you are always in full control of it:
Neither action requires contacting us, since we never held a copy of this data in the first place.
If this policy changes — for example, if a future update adds a new feature that touches data differently — we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
Questions about this policy or how WordPop Kids handles information are welcome any time.
